Mark Twain House and Museum

The Mark Twain House and Museum in Hartford, Connecticut, was the home of Samuel Langhorne Clemens (Mark Twain) and his family from 1874 to 1891.

The building was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1962.

It is reputedly haunted by four women: a woman in black, a woman in white, a maid, and little girl. Also sighted is the figure of an African-American man.

Other phenomena include cold breezes, children's laughter, female voices and the smell of cigar smoke.
