Stepp Cemetery is located on the edge of Old Highway 37 in Morgan-Monroe State Forest.

The cemetery is believed be haunted by a Woman in Black with long white hair, who according to local lore, lost her baby son in an accident during the 1930s. Some accounts also state that a spectral hound guards the baby's grave.

Folklorists at Indiana University have collated the many and varied accounts of the spectres reputed to haunt the cemetery, which makes for some interesting reading.

Paranormal investigators have allegedly captured photographic anomalies such as orbs (although these have numerous natural explanations) and EVPs in the cemetery.
