The Bonnynook Inn is a Queen Anne Victorian home, built around 1890 by a local merchant, Nathan Brown. Having passed through a number of families, it became an inn in 1983. According to research at the time of publishing (May 2019), it is now permanently closed.

According to reports, the Murrow Room was regarded as being the most active. Phenomena included the feelings of a female presence, whom some have claimed to be that of Gertrude West who died in "suspicious" circumstances there.

Other phenomena include cold spots, the apparition of a woman that stands at the foot of a bed or floats the hallways and rooms, and the sounds of footsteps.

Built in 1895 as a house, this building has allegedly been the location of a number of deaths. These have included a bride strangled on her wedding day in the 1920's, another woman named Caroline Jenkins who passed away in 1970, and a male who died in the 1930's Depression era.

All three are said to haunt the building. Caroline has reportedly been seen standing at the bay window, whereas the male has been sighted on the porch by local police officers. Finally, a woman in a bridal gown has been seen by the kitchen door.

Other phenomena include the sounds of items being clattered about or even being thrown, doors slamming, lights switching on and off, intense cold spots.

According to their website, "the Catfish Plantation and the Landis Family is dedicated to offering the best in Cajun style cuisine, while keeping the ghostly traditions alive".
